         Paul Alivisatos 教授现任美国劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室主任,美国加州大学伯克利分校的“三星(Samsung)杰出教授”。他也是美国科学院和美国艺术与科学学院两院院士,同时担任国际纳米领域顶级期刊 《Nano Letters》 (影响因子:12.94)创刊主编、国际顶尖期刊《Science》(影响因子:31.48)的资深编委、Kavli纳米能源科技研究所主任等职。Alivisatos院士还担任美国能源部国家实验室联席董事会主席(DOE National Laboratory Directors' Council)等重要职务,在美国的科技政策制定、基金分配等领域具有极大的影响力。他已在《Science》、《Nature》等世界顶级期刊上发表论文300多篇,2010年被评为“世界百大化学家”的第五位。在化学、物理、纳米科技、生物、能源等领域都做出了杰出的贡献,获得了包括被誉为“诺贝尔奖风向标”的“沃尔夫化学奖”等在内的诸多世界级奖项,是公认的世界顶尖科学家,被誉为“纳米科技之父”。
