Research Experience and Accomplishments:

Dr. Liu’s research in the past few years was mostly focused on biomedical applications of functional nanomaterials including carbon nanotubes, graphene, upconversion nanoparticles, and other composite nanostructures. Starting from 2005, Dr. Liu has authored over 70 peer-reviewed papers, many of which were published on top chemistry, materials and biomedicine journals (total citation > 5500, H-index = 30). His current research interests in FUNSOM at Soochow University are nanomedicine and nano-biotechnology for applications in cancer diagnosis and therapies. The awards Dr. Liu received include MRS Silver Award in 2008, and SCOPUS young researcher award in 2012 .
