报告题目:High temperature phase transformation and the mechanism in YTaO4 as potential thermal barrier coatings

摘要:

The speaker will present his new research in ceramics with experiments and first principles calculation. High temperature in-situ XRD and Raman were indentified  the phase transformation of yttrium tantalate. HRTEM showed the microstructure of phase transformation between monoclinic phase and tetragonal phase. The mechanism of phase transformation was discussed by the first principles canlualtion combined the Landau free energy expansion. Calculations of Gibbs free energies show that the phase transformation temperature at 1430 oC, close to the experimental value of 1426 +/- 7 oC. Landau free energy expansions demonstrate that the transition is second order and, based on the fitting to experimental and calculated lattice parameters, it is found that the transition is a proper rather than a pseudoproper type. Together these finding are consistent with the transition being ferroelastic.

冯晶,男,198410月生,陕西省榆林市人,工学博士,昆明理工大学材料科学与工程学院教授2015年中组部第十一批千人计划青年人才入选者2012 10 -2015 1 月,在哈佛大学从事博士后研究,任哈佛大学应用科学与工程学院Research associate。在理论设计及高温相变机理科学方面取得了较大突破,同时在陶瓷材料及各向异性力学领域获得了国际性地位,相关研究成果发表于Acta MaterPhysic ReviewAppl Phys LettScientific Report, J Phys Chem Lett等。目前已在国际知名杂志发表112篇研究论文,目前已被引用1600余次,科研评价H 指数22。担任SCI 检索杂志《Current Nanoscience》客座主编,《Journal of Micromechanics and Molecular Physics》杂志副主编,目前为三十余份国际著名期刊的审稿专家,已为国际期刊审稿500余篇次。获批国家发明专利14项(其中6 项排名第一),其中9项进入Derwent 世界专利数据库。2009 年获得全国百名中国青少年科技创新奖2014 年获得国际知名期刊“Physica B”颁发的优秀审稿科学家奖,2017年获得中国建材学会自然科学一等奖(排名第三)。
