报告题目:In situ synchrotron X-ray techniques for functional nanomaterials

Today, nanotechnology has a broad impact on social, economic and scientific sectors. In view of their typical length scale, nanomaterials could not be easily measured by an optical microscope, but mainly through electron and atomic force microscopes. They usually require special sample treatments and test conditions, which makes an in situ measurement difficult. Synchrotron x-rays, due to their specific wavelengths, large flux, high penetration and tunable photon energy, play an important role in nanomaterial characterizations. In this talk, I will discuss our recent progresses of in situ X-ray scattering studies of colloidal nanoparticles and perovskite films. The dynamic crystallization and phase transition processes in evaporating colloidal droplets and the dynamic formation and conversion processes of metal halide perovskite films are revealed through the in situ investigations. The unexpected discovery of the immersion depth variation with interparticle distances leads up to unveil the haunting mystery of the attractive interaction between like-charged interfacial particles.
个人简介 :
陈刚,2000年毕业于中国科学技术大学物理系,获学士学位。2007年于美国普渡大学,获物理学博士学位。2007年-2011年,在美国加州大学圣地亚哥分校物理系从事博士后研究。2011年-2012年,受聘于美国劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室的材料物理部门。2012年10月,以中科院“百人计划”引进海外杰出人才加入中科院上海应用物理研究所(研究员)。2015年1月加入上海科技大学物质科学与技术学院,任研究员。近年在Nat. Commun.,Phys. Rev. Lett.,Appl. Phys. Lett.,Nano Lett.,Adv. Mater.,Angew. Chem.,ACS Nano等国际知名期刊以通讯作者发表多篇论文;主持国家基金委联合基金重点项目、面上项目和上海市基础研究重点项目等课题。
