报告摘要:

In this lecture, I will provide an overview on synthesis, optical spectroscopy, and applications of light-emitting colloidal nanomaterials recently (2024-2025) synthesized in our labs, which include copper indium chalcogenide nanorods [1] and HgTe quantum dots [2] emitting over the broad visible and infrared spectral range, as well as different kinds of perovskite nanocrystals, including chiral ones [3-6]. I will highlight their photophysical properties studied by advanced optical spectroscopy techniques, and demonstrate their emerging applications ranging from infrared photodetectors [2] to light-emitting diodes [4,5] and photocatalytic CO2 reduction [6,7].

个人简介:


Prof. Andrey L. Rogach, Yeung Kin Man Chair Professor in Photonics Materials, City University of Hong Kong. Prof. Rogach received his Ph.D. from the Belarusian State University (1995). Before joining CityU in 2009, he built a distinguished career in Germany, serving as a scientist at the University of Hamburg (1995–2002) and as a lead staff scientist at the University of Munich (2002–2009). His research focuses on the synthesis, assembly, and optical spectroscopy of colloidal semiconductor and metal nanocrystals for energy and optoelectronic applications. He has authored over 600 publications with 85,000+ citations (h-index 154) and has been listed as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher since 2018. His distinctions include the RGC Senior Research Fellowship (Hong Kong, 2023), the Croucher Senior Research Fellowship (Hong Kong, 2019), the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Research Award of the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation (Germany, 2018), the CityU President’s Award (2017), the Ikerbasque Fellowship of the Basque Country (Spain, 2012), and the Walton Award from the Science Foundation Ireland (2005). Andrey Rogach is a Foreign Member of the Academia Europaea, and a Fellow of the Electromagnetic Academy, USA. He served as an Associate Editor of ACS Nano in 2011-2023.
